Marking reading set
Set of software and hardware for reading the marking on a conveyor
- Registration of luminescent marking in three spectral ranges
- Three types of illuminators for adapting the system to a specific type of fluorescent marking
TECHNICAL DESCRIPTION AND COMPONENTS
The set of software and hardware for reading the marking on the conveyor contains a collection of the components that make it possible to read the luminescent marking immediately after it is applied onto the products that move along on the conveyor.
The set includes:
-
an optical module with linear cameras
-
a narrow strip illuminator
-
an illuminator with radiation sources in the form of gas-discharge lamps
-
a point illuminator
-
a framework for placing the registration module and illuminators on the conveyor
Optical module with linear cameras

The module contains three cameras with objectives and band-pass filters that allow registering luminescent marking in three spectral ranges. When the conveyor moves, at each specific moment in time, linear cameras register one line. Those lines are then summed to reconstruct a complete image of the object.
To excite luminescence, illuminators are used. The set contains three variants of illuminators, which allows the system to be adapted to a specific type of luminescent marking, the size of the marking and its location on the object.
Narrow strip illuminator
This illuminator provides the ability to form light radiation that has the shape of a narrow strip, which makes it possible to obtain high brightness in the area of image registration by linear cameras.
The illuminator consists of a radiation source and a radiation delivery system. The radiation delivery system uses a fiber light guide with a special optical attachment. In the radiation source, a halogen lamp with a wide emission spectrum is used. The radiation source is equipped with a filter switching system, with which the spectral range of luminescence excitation can be selected.
Illuminator with radiation sources in the form of gas-discharge lamps
This illuminator allows illuminating the object with the radiation of gas-discharge lamps that have the shape of a tube. The illuminator can accommodate three lamps with different emission spectra.
Point illuminator
This illuminator allows creating local lighting at specified locations.
Framework for placing the registration module and illuminators on the conveyor
A special framework is used to accommodate the registration module and illuminators on the conveyor.

Control of the system, and storage and transmission of information is carried out using a personal computer or server.
