Base station

provides two-way data exchange between the server and the shelf labels
is connected to the server by means of an Ethernet cable and uses the TCP/IP protocol for communication
communicates with the shelf labels via a wireless channel at a frequency of 860 MHz

Mobile data collection terminal

The mobile terminal is used to associate a shelf label with the corresponding product.

Within the electronic shelf labels hardware and software system of Scientific Instruments SC, the H-27 terminal manufactured by the Opticon company is used.

For most implementations, any mobile device with the functionality of an Android smartphone can be used as a mobile terminal.

Electronic shelf labels system server

Main functions: generation of content for electronic shelf labels, management of the base stations and interaction with the database of the trading system

The server imports Excel files from the trading system database in automatic or manual mode, and manages the base stations

The server manages the base stations that wirelessly send data to electronic shelf labels and receive their statuses

SOFTWARE

The system of electronic shelf labels includes software, whose main purpose is to update information on the shelf labels.

The management server software is integrated with the information system of the trading company, and receives the information on the prices of goods from that system.

When the retailer changes the price of an item, the management server automatically sends the changed price to the shelf label associated with that item.
