TECHNICAL DESCRIPTION
Purpose
Shtrikh 2012AM is a desktop laser personalizer of plastic identification documents based on a pulsed ytterbium fiber laser.
The instrument is designed for laser and electronic personalization of plastic ID documents of the ID1 format, including identity cards and personal electronic military man cards.
Operation principle
The compact laser personalizer Shtrikh 2012AM provides two-sided laser personalization of ID1 identification documents. The personalizer uses the method of laser engraving for printing high-quality grayscale black-and-white photographs, personal alphanumeric information and the cardholder's signature on the card. The instrument is also capable of engraving linear and two-dimensional barcodes, as well as duplicating the photographs on additional security elements. When duplicating the photographs, the personalizer in many cases uses the demetallization technology.
Shtrikh 2012AM is equipped with a contact and (optional) contactless reader. It has an input container for 200 blank plastic cards and an output container for 60 cards. The instrument performance depends on the amount of information entered into the microchip of the card and also on the amount of graphical information printed on the card surface, and is determined by the time required to complete the slowest operation. Assuming equal times of engraving and entering the information into a microchip (20 seconds), the system productivity can reach 1500 cards per working shift (8 hours).
The electronic personalization technology used in the instrument ensures high reliability of information storage (information on a smart card is not affected by external fields and can be stored for up to 10 years), a high degree of protection against counterfeiting (a smart card is almost impossible to counterfeit), as well as high reliability and practically unlimited durability of a smart card.
The fiber laser in combination with a galvanometric scanner system provides high quality of personalization, does not require water cooling and special maintenance, and also has significant reliability and durability. Due to its compact size, Shtrikh 2012AM can be integrated into any work environment.
